What Is CBD Oil? CBD Oil Definition
CBD is 100% non-psychoactive which is really nothing more than a fancy way of telling you that it isn’t going to get you high.
Interestingly enough, both THC and miracle CBD cannabidiol share almost identical chemical structures and formulas with the only major difference being that CBD has a hydroxyl group whereas THC has a cyclic ring. Again, that’s really just science speak for the atomic makeup of these compounds and why one will get you high while the other will dramatically improve your health and wellness.
CBD Hemp Oil Benefits. What Does CBD Oil Do?
Believe it or not, medical experts and scientists have known that CBD (CBD oil in specific) has had the potential to dramatically improve the lives of human beings ever since the early 1940s and 1950s – even if it didn’t become popular until just recently.
Back then, researchers were looking for a way to treat epilepsy and seizures without turning to dangerous prescription medications and chemical cocktails. CBD hemp oil was found to be almost unbelievably successful at mitigating these issues, and later CBD research led to other breakthroughs benefits that include:
Helping with migraines
Helping to fight back against autoimmune diseases and rheumatoid arthritis
Helping to push back against neurological diseases and disorders like dementia, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s
Helping people to better manage their metabolism and control diabetes and obesity
Helping people struggling with neuropsychiatric illnesses that include autism, ADHD, PTSD, and alcoholism
Helping to improve overall cardiovascular function
Helping to even out skin conditions that include acne, dermatitis, and psoriasis
… And that’s just the tip of the iceberg!
In a world where today’s most popular prescription anxiety drugs have dangerous side effects that include increased anxiety, elevated depression, and potential suicide it’s nice to see an all-natural solution like CBD oil that provides real relief without threatening your short or long-term health moving forward.
How Does CBD Hemp Oil Work?
Most Common Ways to Use CBD Oil.
Well, the truth is that there are many different options. You can always use a topical cream that might help your skin and also your mental state at the same time! While CBD oils can absolutely be topical, there are also moisturizers, balms, and lotions that are available. There is also the option where you can place the CBD dose under your tongue and then swallow it and enjoy it that way. In addition, CBD can also be inhaled. The vaping industry in general is one of the fastest-growing industries in the country, and possibly the world, and heating CBD oil and inhaling it is very common as well. You might not be aware of all things surrounding CBD, but there are obvious benefits that might benefit your quality of life.
As you can see, there are a couple of different ways you can take advantage of CBD products, but the most popular ones certainly include indigestible solutions and topical oils/lotions.
Indigestible options – like gummy bears made with CBD extract and cbd oil pills, for example – deliver the CBD payload very efficiently. As soon as the CBD enters into your digestive system it’s shuttled through the bloodstream to your endocannabidiol system of receptors and that’s where the real magic starts to happen.
CB1 receptors are found in the brain and throughout the central nervous system while CB2 receptors are found in the more “peripheral” organs, particularly those that are most heavily associated with your immune system.
The best and highest quality cannabidiol oil for sale (like the options we make available) are always going to target both of these types of receptors, helping you to enjoy physical health and mental health benefits with a single solution.
Do You Need Prescription For CBD Oil?
There are many different states and countries that have different ideas about marijuana and CBD, but one thing is for sure: more people are realizing are that CBD oil has more applications than they previously thought. Of course, there are many individuals all around the world that are concerned about the legality of CBD oil. While marijuana has been legalized in many different places all over the globe, that doesn’t mean that it is legal everywhere. In addition, CBD oil isn’t the same thing as marijuana. How do you know whether it’s okay to purchase? One question that is on many minds is: do you need a prescription for CBD oil? The answer is no.
There are many that might distinguish between recreational users that are interested in CBD oil and others that are hoping for medicinal benefits, but the truth is that a prescription isn’t needed. This is great news for those that are wondering about the time, money, and energy involved with obtaining a prescription. While CBD oil definitely derives from cannabis, the truth is that it is a cannibanoid that doesn’t have the psychoactive properties of THC. CBD oil provides a lot of relief for those who are anxious and stressed out without some of the negative effects that marijuana can cause. Unlike marijuana, which actually alters the mind state of the user – this doesn’t occur with CBD oil at all. One can see why CBD oil might be a better choice for parents, teachers, and many others in a position that might require a certain amount of mental clarity.
This means that there is a much larger market for those who are interested in CBD oil. Even in states where marijuana might be legal, there is still little bit of doubt that it can affect your state of mind. Some have pointed out that marijuana shouldn’t be used when certain individuals drive and/or operate heavy machinery. There are many situations where CBD oil might be a better alternative and less intoxicating for professionals all around the world.
You might be wondering: if a prescription isn’t needed, what is needed? Well, the truth is that when it comes to marijuana, U.S. legislation differentiates between prescriptions and recommendations. There are other countries around the world where prescriptions for marijuana might be obtained. Either way, this doesn’t apply to CBD oil at all.
Is CBD going to get you in trouble? No. Either way, you might want to be aware of local laws surrounding marijuana just in case. Even if it might not apply, it might be sensible to have this knowledge for yourself.
In the United States, you might be familiar with the Controlled Substances Act. The Act was signed by President Richard Nixon decades ago, and went into effect in 1971. This act is the reason why CBD isn’t illegal, because the act determined that only certain parts of the plant are illegal, while others are legal. The “oil” from cannabis is deemed legal, which is why CBD oil is able to be sold in stores all over the nation.
Does CBD Oil Have THC?
With concerns over whether cannabidiol is legal or not legal and whether it’s addictive or not addictive and whether you will be able to pass a drug test while taking it or not, it all boils down to whether or not the CBD oil contains its cousin compound or not … the infamous THC. How will you know if you have pure CBD oil or if you got a hold of oil with high amounts of THC it all depends on where the oil has been extracted from.
If you get oil that was taken from the marijuana side of the cannabis plant, chances are you will have high levels of the THC compound which is illegal. This you don’t want. These are the levels that give you that euphoria, that you grow to become dependent on, and that will take you through the withdrawal process if you were to suddenly just stop. THC has many health benefits just like its pure cousin but, unfortunately, this is the psychoactive compound that is THC.
If the CBD oil is derived from the resin glands of the hemp plant, you are less likely to get THC levels above .3%, but you will still get slight trace amounts because THC lives in the cannabis plant with all of the other cannabinoids.
The thing is, in all reality, CBD oil is not regulated by anybody on any level, so nobody knows exactly what is in the products that are being sold for one hundred per cent sure. You are at the mercy of the merchants. The only saving grace is to find a reputable seller, there are many out there, and you will know when you find one, because they will have a Certificate of Analysis (COA). This will tell you that the manufacturer did testing for contaminants and also met laboratory standards.
Read the labels. Know what is in the product you are taking. Make sure it clearly states how much CBD is in the packaging and what other compounds are mixed in with it, particularly the amount of THC, which to be legal has to be no greater than that .3%.
The label should tell you exactly how many milligrams are in the bottle and how many milligrams you should take to equal one dose. You want to start with the smallest dose and work your way up to the desired effect and know what you want that desired effect to be before you ever buy the product. If you don’t like how it ends up making you feel and it’s not what you expected, you just stop taking it.
Don’t over do it. Too much of a good thing usually is. It can turn good results into bad results. If you have trace THC and you take over 1000 mg of CBD oil, you’re also increasing that .3% trace THC. It may not affect your health in any significant way but continuing to abuse the doses could potentially lead to, say, a failed drug test perhaps.
Wild fact: Did you know that there are THC levels in your typical black household pepper? Some of us had not a clue. It is recommended that you avoid having this prior to taking a drug test.
CBD and THC
CBD and THC kind of work hand in hand in some ways even with just a tiny little amount of THC. They’re effective on their own as health resources in different ways, but together they work off of each other dynamically and create a more powerful resource than they do individually. So, having that trace amount that folks get themselves worried about is probably a good thing.
With THC present CBD gets a little jolt to it and its benefits are amplified. On its own its not as electrified. THC on its own is all over the place causing havoc. With the CBD protecting receptors and calming it down, the THC has to get a grip. According to cannabis doctors, slowly over a few months, CBD benefits can wear off unless a little THC is added to the mix, trace amounts, .3%, the legal dose.
You always want to be coinciding anything that you enter into your body with the consultation of a doctor. Just going online and reading what other people think, other people’s opinions and information that is not backed by a medical professional is not the way to go if you are having serious medical symptoms. You should never discontinue a medical regimen that your healthcare provider has you on in favor of doing something all on your own if you have a serious medical condition. If you want to do something like in CBD oil in addition to your health provider’s treatments or medications, talk to them, and let them monitor you. Do it the right way, safely.

How Long Does CBD Oil Stay In Your System?
There are a lot of factors that determine how any product will remain in a person’s system and that would include CBD. The use of this is at an all time high across the United States.
Unlike traditional treatments CBD’s effects kick in almost immediately without causing symptoms of withdrawal as they begin to wear off. It is being used medicinally for a wide range of symptomologies with dosages being experimented with by patients as they take the oils. They take a quantity, wait on the effects to wear off and then take more, determining what is most effective by how long the oil stays in their system. So, it’s kind of up to the patient to determine how often and how much they take for these various conditions.
The CBD oil is a non psychoactive treatment for the above wide range of health concerns. There are many different forms that the oil comes in from vape liquid, tinctures, pure oil, and capsules. The question that these folks who are taking it for these conditions have is how long will it stay in my system?
First, you want to make sure that what you obtain is a quality product that has third party lab results available. You want everything with the company or organization to be very transparent and to know everything that is going into the product so you’ll know just what you’ll be consuming.
The THC needs to be .3% or less to be legal. This will definitely have an effect on your system and it will affect any drug tests that you may take. There are companies that sell THC-free CBD which is just as effective medicinally and there would be no risk of receiving anything that could potentially be illegal.
There are many things that go into determining how long the CBD will actually remain in your system. It depends on your body weight, body fat, metabolism, how much of it was consumed, how it was consumed, how frequently you took it, your age, height, gender, and even how much water you had.
For example, CBD is fat soluble which means it will be temporarily absorbed by fat cells in your body. The more you take, the more that is stored in the fat cells and the longer it will remain. A person with a higher body fat percentage can store more than a smaller person, of course, so that person would obviously take much longer for the CBD to leave their system.
In general, an average size person who is taking CBD for pain would probably take it two times per day, one time in the morning and one time before bed. It would most likely wear off after approximately six to eight hours. If you’re taking regular doses overall the CBD will stay locked in your system for approximately three to five days. If you are taking large quantities, it could be anywhere from eight to fourteen days. But, again, the effects are different and vary for each person and depending on which product you take.
Vaping liquid – has a high efficacy but will only last approximately two to three hours.
Tincture drops – lower efficacy than vape or pure oil concentrate so won’t absorb as much of the CBD. Will last approximately four to five hours.
Pure oil concentrate/paste or gel – they come in the syringe tube. Higher efficacy, about 75%. Absorb a lot into the body when holding under the tongue. Lasts anywhere from five to twelve hours. Some folks need to take once per day for pain, others two to three times.
You just really want to do your research and homework before starting any kind of treatment. It will be different for you than the next person. This is all very new and everyone is experiencing it in different ways. You have to experiment and get it to the right dose for you. Do what feels right to you and what feels good to your body. That’s what is important.
Does CBD Oil Show Up In Drug Tests?
It is natural to worry about failing a drug test if you are using CBD or any of the CBD products. CBD is extracted from cannabis sativa plants, the same that gives us marijuana. Now marijuana is rich in THC or tetrahydrocannabinol which can be detected in many drug tests. However, cannabidiol is not the same as tetrahydrocannabinol, in the sense that it is not psychoactive and hence you will not be inebriated or stoned. So whether or not cannabidiol will show up in drug tests needs a bit of explanation.
CBD oil products are being used for anxiety, pain and sleep. Many people are using CBD as a part of their therapy or treatment for certain chronic conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and Parkinson’s. CBD is legally approved for use in treatment for epilepsy. Regulation pertaining to cannabidiol is a grey area. It is prohibited despite being known to have no psychoactive or psychotropic effect. Hence, legally you are not supposed to use cannabidiol but that does also mean you will fail a drug test.
First of all, drug tests are not designed to examine traces of CBD. Whether you are taking a drug test at your workplace or you are pulled over by the cops and are subjected to tests meant to detect alcohol or marijuana among other substances, the examination is not looking for CBD. Drug tests meant for cannabis or marijuana are capable of detecting tetrahydrocannabinol or THC, not cannabidiol or CBD. Hence, if you have not consumed marijuana and your CBD oil or product does not contain THC, then you are not going to fail the drug test. Marijuana or cannabis sativa plant extracts contain many cannabinoids. Only THC is the one that is tested for. Other cannabinoids including CBC or cannabichromene, which is the third most abundant substance in marijuana, are not tested.
Laboratory director and toxicologist at Steep Hill Arkansas, Brenda Gannon says that CBD is has a different chemical composition than THC. Pure CBD cannot be detected by tests meant to find traces of THC. This does not mean you will definitely pass the test as many CBD products using hemp extracts can have some traces of THC. Some manufacturers tend to use a bit of THC in their CBD products to enhance the effects of CBD.
If we consider the possibility that your CBD oil or other product containing cannabidiol also has some THC, then whether or not you will fail a drug test shall depend on the exact method and the sample taken. Detection thresholds vary from one drug test to another. If the sample is a strand of hair, then you may pass the test while using CBD oil unless the concentration of THC is more than 0.3 percent or you use the entire bottle at one go. Fluid test makes it even harder for the detection of cannabidiol. Whether you are giving an oral fluid sample or it is a urine test, CBD will not be detected. However, if any CBD product contains substantial amounts of THC then there could be a buildup and that will show up in the test.
CBD is not a drug that is tested for by any company or even the law enforcement agencies. There is no specific test to assess traces of CBD, either in urine or saliva, hair or blood. Employers and law enforcers are not looking for CBD in your body. So you are unlikely to fail any test for using CBD oil or other CBD product. The only exception is THC. Of course you may fail a drug test for other substances, including alcohol. CBD is not going to inebriate you so normal functioning is not affected in any way. It is not possible for someone to tell by just looking at you and conducting a field sobriety test is also going to prove nothing.
CBD is not a totally legal substance to use. It is restricted. It is listed in Schedule I. There is no approval for medical use with the exception of two rare kinds of epilepsy. The listing in Schedule I also means that there is potential for abuse of CBD. Despite such listing, even the DEA does not have any test to detect CBD. The Farm Bill passed in 2014 has legalized the production of hemp and subsequently the manufacturing of hempseed oil. If you are using hemp based CBD products, then you are already in the safe zone. No one is going to test you for hempseed oil. Whether you use it topically or in some other form, you are not going to fail a drug test.
There are many types of CBD products in the market. You should be certain of the THC content in such products. It is possible you have picked up a product that contains substantial THC and then you may fail a drug test at your workplace.
Is CBD Addictive? Can You Get Addicted To CBD?
With all of the confusion as to whether CBD should be legal or not and whether it should be used in medication or not, you have to ask yourself, can you become dependent on it or grow to be addicted to it? Well, there’s one organization who’s opinion should speak volumes.
The World Health Oganization (WHO) has reported that the studies they conducted showed no negative attributes for CBD. The tests to show addictive qualities or possibilities for abuse were all negative. CBD is a non addictive product. There is no chance of developing any type of dependency on this substance despite dosage or form in which you take it.
Addictive substances send out great amounts of dopamine into the brain’s pleasure area. Having this over a certain period of time becomes something you grow to depend on, and if you stop having it, you develop symptoms of withdrawal from it.
CBD doesn’t expel large amounts of dopamine like that. CBD doesn’t generate a feeling of euphoria like there is with certain addictive substances. Its quality is such that it balances things in the brain. If there’s too much, it takes away or too little, adds. It promotes wellness. There isn’t any symptoms of withdrawal if you stop taking it.
With the number of Americans who take CBD in some form or another, it is refreshing to know this is a healthy, non habit-forming type of perhaps ‘alternative’ medicine practice if you will. It is certainly revolutionizing modern medicine, and has scientists scratching their heads and biting at the bit because they are dying to study it.

Is CBD Hemp Oil Legal? Cannabidiol Legality.
Am I Breaking the Law Using CBD? Absolutely not! As we mentioned a little bit earlier, there are absolutely zero psychoactive responses in CBD oil products which means that you aren’t dealing with the same kind of “drug” that THC heavy cannabis products inevitably include. Admittedly, it’s a lot easier to buy CBD oil locally in states and municipalities that have already legalized or at the very least decriminalized the medical and recreational use of marijuana. But according to US federal law, CBD is 100% legal in all 50 states and you can even purchase it online and have it delivered to your doorstep.
